Pattern Info
Gauge: 6 sts and 7 rows = 2” in sc
Completed Dimensions: Cozy lying flat, 2.5” x 4”
Pattern Size: One size fits most coffee shop cups

Notes
When working rows in the round: work first row of stitches in 1st chain made and over tail of yarn then tighten when work is finished. Leave 6” for sewing when finishing off.
Any worsted weight cotton can be interchanged for the specific yarns given for the designs pictured.

Pattern
Coffee Cozy Base
Piece is worked seamlessly in a tube. Use the tail of chain or place marker to keep track of rows. To adjust for gauge or custom size: simply add or subtract from the initial ch 25 at the start of the piece for desired width; rep row 2 until desired height is achieved. All cozies begin with this pattern with notes for color changes.
Yarn: I Love This Cotton
Ch 25 (or # needed to obtain gauge).
Join ch (sl st in 1st ch made).
Row 1: Sc in each ch loop (25 total).
Row 2: Sc in 1st sc made and in each sc around (25 total).
Rows 3 – 9: Sc in each sc around.
Row 10: Loosely sl st in each sc (25 sl st total).
Finish off, weave in ends.
The Heart Cozy
Yarn Pictured: Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton
Colors: Cream (MC), Maroon (CC)
Cozy base:
Work 1st 8 rows of pattern in MC, switch to CC for row 9, finish off. Attach CC on the opposite end of the cozy as pictured and sc in rem ch loops, finish off.
Heart (CC)
Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), work 14 dc in 3rd chain from hook, do not turn. (15 dc)
Row 2: 3 sc in post of last dc of row 1, sl st in center of circle, 3 sc in initial ch-3 sp from row 1, sl st
in each of the next 5 sts, (sl st, ch 1, sl st) in next st, sl st in each of the next 9 sts, sl st in center of circle, sl st in each of the next 3 sts, finish off.
Sew heart to cozy.
The Cherries Cozy
Yarn Pictured: Blue Sky Alpacas Skinny Dyed Organic Cotton
Colors: Cream (MC), Green (CB), Pink (CC), Brown (CD)
Cozy base:
Work 1st 8 rows of pattern in MC, switch to CC for row 9, finish off.
Attach CB on the opposite end of the cozy as pictured and sc in rem ch loops, finish off.
Cherries (make 2 in CC)
Row 1: Ch 2, work 8 sc in 1st ch made.
Row 2: Sl st in each sc made in row 1. Finish off.
Leaf (CB)
Row 1: Ch 2, sc in 1st ch. Finish off.
Sew cherries and leaf onto cozy.
Stem (CD)
Twist two strands of brown together and sew onto cozy as pictured.
The Flower Cozy
Yarn Pictured: Hobby Lobby’s I Love is Cotton
Colors: Tuscany (MC), Purple (CC)
Cozy base:
Work 1st 8 rows of pattern in MC, switch to CC for row 9, finish off.
Attach CC on the opposite end of the cozy as pictured and sc in rem ch loops, finish off.
Flower (CC)
Row 1: Ch 3, in 1st ch work sts in this sequence: 2 dc, 1 sc (1 petal made), [3 dc, 1 sc] 4 xs (5 petals made). Finish off.
Flower center (MC)
Row 1: Ch 2, sc in 1st ch. Finish off and sew to center of flower.
Sew flower onto cozy.
The Pumpkin Cozy
Yarn Pictured: Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton
Colors: Monkey Brown Twist (MC), Burnt Sienna (CC)
Cozy base:
Work 1st 2 rows of pattern in CC, switch to MC for rows 3 – 10, finish off.
Pumpkin
With Monkey Brown Twist, ch 3.
Rnd 1: 10 dc in 1st ch. (10 dc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in 1st dc and in each dc around. (20 sc)
Rnd 3: With Burnt Sienna, sl st in each sc around.
Finish off. (20 sl st)
Pumpkin Stem
Attach CC to dip in pumpkin and tie 10 tight knots. Trim yarn.
Pumpkin Lines
Embroider with Burnt Sienna as pictured.
Sew pumpkin onto cozy.
