Notes
This cowl hat works up beautifully with stripes of color that get progressively wider as you work through the pattern. Use the tail of the chain to help keep track of rows. From row 5 to the end of the piece, you can move on to the next row once you come around to the chain tail.

To finish: Sl st 5xs, cast off, weave in ends.
Ribbon Cinch:
First ribbon row: in the last row weave ribbon over and under one stitch every 10 stitches. Making sure ribbon is just long enough to accommodate the cowl hat stretching over a head, cut ribbon and tie ends together.
Second ribbon row: In the second to last row, beginning at the opposite side of the tube from where the first ribbon is tied, weave ribbon over and under one stitch every 10 stitches. Stagger the stitch weaved under so it sits between the stitch weaved under in the first row. Making the length the same as the first ribbon, cut and tie ends together.
