Materials

Yarn:

Mohair Loop 93% Mohair/4% Wool/3% Nylon bulky yarn (60 yards/100 g per skein) 2 Skeins in Canyon

Homespun 85% wool/ 15% silk super bulky thick and thin yarn (170 yards/200 g per skein) 1 skein in Canyon.

Hook: 15 mm

Pattern Info

Gauge: Unimportant since scarf stretches in all directions. Measure scarf width after first rep to check size.

Completed Dimensions: 15″ x 72″

Here are some fun boucle yarns  you can add to another yarn from your stash to get the look of this scarf! Hold the strands together as one (use enough strands to equal the weight of a super bulky yarn).

Notes

If you want to add length to the shawl repeat row 2 until desired length is achieved.  From row 2 – the end, work single crochet under the ch-4-sp rather than in a single chain loop. Once the shawl is complete, stretch scarf so the loops open up and the single crochets sit at the top of the chain.

Pattern

Holding 1 strand of mohair loop and 1 strand of homespun together, ch 39 (multiple of 5 + 9)

Row 1: Sk 8 ch, sc in next ch, [ch 4, sk 4 ch, sc in next ch] 6 xs (7 ch-4 spaces made).

Row 2 – 42: Ch 4, turn, sc in next ch-4 sp, [ch 4, sc in next ch-4 sp] 6 xs (7 ch-4 spaces made).

Finish off, weave in ends.
