My own children tuck into their own spots for some quiet time with books every day, and I tuck away the sweet memories of these young years to treasure always.

Yarn:

Yarn: Wool and the Gang Jersey Be Good T-shirt yarn (100m/109 yards/ 500g per roll) 98% cotton, 2% elastane, five skeins total: one each in peach, blue and light purple; two in pink.

Hook: 15 mm

Gauge: 2.5 rows and 4 sts = 4 inches in dc

Dimensions: 59” x 37”

Notes

• Jersey fabric yarn is a little unpredictable with exact yardage. Adjust the color pattern as needed to accommodate varying lengths in each skein/roll.
• Cut yarn at each color change. Leave a 3-inch tail at both the start and end of each color, these will form tassels along the short edges of the rug.
• Please note: Gauge is approximate and depends on the thickness of the specific roll/skein of fabric yarn.

Ch 74 with first color (see color chart).

Row 1: Dc in fourth ch from hook (skipped sts count as 1 dc), dc in each ch across. (72 dc)

Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), turn, dc in each st across.

Rows 3 – 27: Rep row 2.

Finish off.

Tie yarn ends together to secure and create tassel.
