Materials

Yarn: Wonderland Yarns Mad Hatter sport weight 100% superwash merino yarn in Too Much Pepper 86 yds per 1 oz skein, 5 skeins equal 430 yards.

Hook: Size (7) 4.5 mm

Pattern Info

Skill level: Beginner

Gauge: 16 stitches and 15 rows = 4” in sc

Completed dimensions: 68” long, 11” wide (at the widest spot)

Abbreviations

ch—chain

dc—double crochet

rep—repeat

st(s)—stitch(es)

Pattern

Increase rows

Row 1: With lightest color, ch 4 (counts as 1 dc), 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook. (3 dc)

Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc here and throughout pattern), turn, dc in same st as ch and in each st across. (4 dc)

Rows 3 – 37: Rep row 2. Note: each row adds 1 st to the count here through row 55.

Row 38: With second lightest color, rep row 2.

Rows 39 – 54: Rep row 2.

Straight rows, no increase/decrease

Row 55: With middle color, ch 3, turn, dc in each st across. (56 dc)

Rows 56 – 69: Ch 3, turn, dc in each st across.

Decrease rows

Row 70: With second darkest color, ch 3, turn, dc in each st across to last 2 sts, dc2tog. (55 dc)

Rows 71 – 86: Rep row 70. Note: each row subtracts 1 st from the count here through end of pattern.

Row 87: With darkest color, rep row 70.

Rows 88 – 122: Rep row 70.

Row 123: Ch 3, turn, dc2tog.

Finish off.
